Composer Tools Closed Beta Agreement

What Is Artistry, Inc. (“Company,” “we”) is inviting you (“Tester,” “you”) to test a pre-release version of Composer Tools (the macOS host app and its MIDI devices) (the “Software”). By downloading the Software with your beta access code, you agree to the terms below.

1. It’s Confidential, Pre-Release Software

The Software, its features, and anything we tell you about it that isn’t already public are confidential. Treat this beta the way you’d want a friend to treat an unfinished demo you’re not ready to release.

2. Keep It Between Us

Don’t share the installer, your access code, screenshots of unreleased features, or details about how the Software works with anyone outside the beta — including posting it publicly — without our okay. Talking about the fact that you’re testing something (“I’m beta-testing a new plugin”) is fine; sharing the build or its specifics isn’t.

3. No Reverse Engineering or Competing Use

Please don’t decompile, reverse-engineer, or otherwise pick apart the Software to build a competing product, to the extent that’s legally restrictable. You’re here to make music and give feedback, not to reverse-engineer our DSP.

4. Your Feedback Helps Us, But It’s Ours to Use

If you send us bug reports, suggestions, or feedback, we can use it to improve Composer Tools without owing credit, royalties, or any ownership stake in the Software to beta testers.

5. Beta Software Is “As-Is”

This is unfinished software. It may crash, corrupt files, misbehave with your MIDI gear, or just be weird sometimes. Back up your work. We’re not liable for damages arising from your use of the beta, to the extent permitted by law. We can also end the beta, revoke access, or change features at any time.

6. When the Beta Ends

When we close the beta or ask you to stop, we’d appreciate it if you deleted the build and stopped using it. It’s a courtesy, not a lockdown — we’re trusting you here.

7. Ownership

Composer Tools and all related code, designs, and materials are © 2026 What Is Artistry, Inc. All rights reserved. This agreement doesn’t transfer any ownership to you.

8. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
